Sergeant Jaime Nunez
California Highway Patrol

Sergeant Jaime Nunez is currently assigned to California Highway Patrol (CHP) Headquarters in Sacramento, CA and works within the Commercial Vehicle Section. He deals with issues associated with driver licensing, commercial vehicle registration, NAFTA, and many other aspects of commercial vehicle law enforcement.
Sergeant Nunez has been with the California Highway Patrol for 14 years and started his career in Baldwin Park, CA where he patrolled Interstates 10, 210, and 605. All of which are major truck routes in the Los Angeles Area. He has worked in the Rancho Cucamonga area where he patrolled Interstates 15 and 10, along with State Route 60 in the Inland Empire. He began Commercial Vehicle Enforcement when he transferred to the Cajon Truck Scales, located in the Cajon Pass on Interstate 15, in 2002. Sergeant Nunez has received training in all aspects of Level 1 Commercial Vehicle Inspections. While in the Inland Empire, Sergeant Nunez coordinated the CHP’s Commercial Industry Education Program for the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. He has conducted numerous educational seminars relating to Commercial Vehicle driving laws to the trucking industry and other governmental agencies.
